Welcome to Ethel's page

You have come to my first web page,
which I hope to make into a memorial for my children's father,
plus a little information about him and his family.

IN MEMORIAM

William Lemont Baughman
March 17, 1934 to October 21, 1982

Since you went away, the days grow long,
and soon I'll hear old winter's song.
But I miss you most of all, my darling,
when autumn leaves start to fall.

Bill was born in Springfield, Ohio to Clarence and Lena Baughman, the youngest of 5 siblings, Irene, Betty, Chet, Junior, and Bill. (One sister died in infancy.) He joined the Air Force when he was 17 years old. After basic training he was stationed in Portland, Oregon where he met and married me, Ethel Kaylor-Helms, September 6, 1952. A year later he was sent to Korea for 13 months, during which time our first child, Marcia, was born. Later, we moved to his hometown where we lost him in October,1982 from a sudden massive heart attack. He was a beloved husband, father, step-father, brother, uncle, and friend and will always be in our hearts with love.
